Soul Music Community Celebrates 4th Annual Indie Soul Mixer.
The Indie Soul Mixer attracts artists from all over the world to New York City to celebrate soul music. The event began back in March 2006 when founders Mike Ashley of LifeandSoulpromotions and Dexter Myers of Indiesoul.com sought to get all soul music artists and industry professionals in the same room to share ideas and experiences. The mixer has grown into one of the most anticipated events in the Independent Soul music industry.

In a music industry shaken by diminishing sales and consolidation, the Indie Soul Mixer provides a forum on ways to work inside and out of the mainstream music industry. “These are tough times in every segment of the music industry. Labels are losing money and artists are finding themselves without a record label or a plan. Our event places the most experienced innovators in the same room to explore solutions to succeed in an increasingly difficult environment,” Myers said.
After 3 successful Indie Soul Mixers, Myers and Ashley look forward to uniting artists to support an industry with limited mainstream funding and exposure. The event is free and open to anyone interested in soul music. For additional information or to RSVP, please contact Dexter Myers (917) 691-5168 or firstname.lastname@example.org or email@example.com
